Interview with the Imster Trails crew!

How did the group come about?

We were building some freeride mtb trails in Imstenrade forest Heerlen or "Imster" for short and as the trails grew the group grew. When the original spot was destroyed by authorities we started building at other places, traveling to more spots, meet new people and ever since the last spot also got destroyed we've been trying to get a legal spot somewhere.

How big is the group?

We've got core group of about 6 people working to get new trails and managing the account. The group of people that contact and meet up regularly is around 25 to 30 people besides that we have a big group that interacts online and meets up in bikeparks.

Can you tell us a bit about your local places, shops you support or favourite places you visit?

Even though we live in the only part of the Netherlands that has hills we don't really have many spots around.. The local spot by Looseriders Limburg has got to be our favourite and many people would say it's the best spot in the country but like every jump trail in Limburg it still is an illegal spot. We are working together with Velorium bikepark in Maastricht to get some actual legal trails but it had to be built on an artificial hill and low budget.

Our "local" shop that supports us is Edwin @liveyoursports and shoutout to our local mechanic @de_trist

Do you see more collaborations with Qubo Worldwide?

Definitely, looking forward to meet up and talk about some new designs.

What is your motivation in the group?

Bikes, Burgers, Beer and weed.

Fun fact about the group?

We never not smoke weed at your spot.

Last but not least, can you express motivation to other riders around the world that can help riders to keep riding?

Most important in freeride is the freedom to do what you want so just go with the flow, try to ride with as many people as possible, visit each other spots and make some sick videos!
